HEALTH CARE CRISIS POINT: U.S. Representative Cindy Axne is talking health care and drug prices with voters in Iowa. Axne was elected in 2018, making history as one of the first two Democratic congresswomen ever elected in Iowa. Axne has recounted how she couldn't afford maternity coverage and 'sold personal items on eBay because we didn’t want to go into debt or go bankrupt just because we had our son.' In Congress, she's prioritized bills to lower drug prices and stop surprise medical bills for out-of-network care.
