WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne (IA-03) announced she will join the Affordable and Accessible Health Care Task Force, a group of Members committed to advancing practical, bipartisan policies to improve our healthcare system, lower costs, reduce burdens for small businesses and expand coverage across Iowa. The Health Care Task Force is part of the New Democrat Coalition, a group of 101 forward-thinking Democrats in the House of Representatives who are committed to pro-economic growth, pro-innovation, and fiscally responsible policies.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Cindy Axne (IA-03) joined a group of bipartisan colleagues in introducing a Resolution to establish March 2nd as national “Gold Star Families Remembrance Day.” The bipartisan resolution would honor and recognize the sacrifices made by the families of members and veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States who gave their lives to defend freedom and protect America. “I am proud to support this resolution to recognize and honor the families of service members who gave their lives to protect the freedom all Americans cherish,” said Rep. Axne. “Gold Star Remembrance Day ensures their sacrifice and the sacrifices of their families will never be forgotten. On March 2nd, I encourage all Americans to celebrate these heroes as we strive to serve our own communities.”
